Need your bike repaired or tuned up? Join BikePoughkeepsie.org Saturday 6/13 for our free community Bicycle Repair Clinic at the garden/basement level of First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Our volunteers can help with basic repairs, tune-ups, and maintenance to help get your bike rolling smoothly again. We’re also accepting donated bikes, parts, and accessories for future community repair and bike giveaway efforts.
Whether you need a quick fix or want to learn some hands-on bike maintenance skills, stop by and say hello.

Moving Dutchess Forward public meeting
The Dutchess County Transportation Council invites you to participate in our second virtual public meeting for Moving Dutchess Forward, our long-range transportation plan. This meeting will be an opportunity to: • Learn about the Plan and its vision for improving transportation in Dutchess County • Review results from the first round of community engagement and the first survey, including residents’ transportation priorities and the transportation challenges they face • Discuss barriers in the current transportation system to identify where improvements are needed • Discuss policies to improve safety, reliability, and access to basic needs • Share your transportation investment priorities

Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting
The Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is created to assist us with implementing Walk Bike Dutchess, our county-wide Pedestrian & Bicycle Plan, share best practices, and promote walking and bicycling. The BPAC is open to anyone, including representatives from local municipalities, bicycling and walking groups, the public, and staff from other Departments and agencies. It meets quarterly on the last Thursday of January, April, July, and October, and its work is reported to our Planning Committee.

Vassar EARTH DAY EVENT
Join Bike Poughkeepsie and sPOKe at the Vassar Barn for the Earth Day event (presented by Dutchess County and Vassar). Bike Poughkeepsie will be there doing free bike repairs and distributing information about cycling and street safety. Also, enjoy fun activities like nature walks and nature journaling and learn simple tips for recycling and living sustainably while connecting with others who care about protecting our local environment. Group Ride 3/21
Join us for a Spring Equinox group ride Saturday, 3/21 at 1PM. Meet at the Walkway East Plaza (1310 Walkway Over the Hudson, Poughkeepsie, NY). 7 miles total, to the Highland Rotary Pavilion and back. This is a casual, no-drop, family friendly ride.
MHBC 60th Anniversary Dinner

PUBLIC COMMENT for Dutchess County Legislature Meeting
Bike Poughkeepsie invites you to speak during the Public Comment section of the Dutchess County Legislature Board Meeting. Let the county know that you want to see safer county roads AND better maintenance of the Dutchess County Trail. Our trail is important for recreation but also as a connector for car free commuting.

Help us revive our snow-buried trail this Saturday (2/28) at 12:30 PM!
Join us as we clear a section of the Dutchess County Trail and show our local leaders just how vital it is to keep the trail accessible year-round for recreation, tourism, and traveling locally car-free.
We’ll meet at the intersection of the Northside Trail and the Dutchess County Trail. If you’re able, please bring a snow shovel and a friend!

This Valentine's Day we have a bunch of kids bikes to give away! Our bikes are for kids ages 2-5 so come by Sat (1/14 from 9AM-12PM) and pick one up (while supplies last) or bring your bike to get it fixed up. Located in the basement of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church at 325 Mill St, Poughkeepsie.
